CAPA College provide an evening of festive spirit via live stream 

On Thursday 6th December, the talented CAPA College Musical Theatre students provided viewers with an evening of festive song in ‘Home for Christmas’. The magic of Christmas was brought directly to the viewers from the comfort of their homes via live stream as the students performed some old favourites alongside some less well-known seasonal repertoire. 

Despite the challenges brought by Covid-19, CAPA College have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Arts remain alive, even without the possibility of having a live audience. After the success of their live streamed Intensives Week performance, the annual Christmas show was up next! 

The live streamed event was an incredible opportunity for the Production Arts Pathway to work within the technical team to develop new skills in photography, filming, live broadcasting, sound and set design, whilst experiencing working on a live streamed event. The students rose to the challenge and excelled in working as a team to ensure that the event ran smoothly. 

The stunning vocals from the first year Musical Theatre students combined with a wholesome and festive set led to a show that provided an evening of Christmas spirit and joy. It received tremendous feedback with one ticket holder stating: “It was really lovely to watch. Fantastic talent both in front and behind the cameras. Thank you for working around the Covid situation and allowing the students to do what they love.”
