At CAPA College caring for one another is in everything that we do. We have a dedicated student welfare team who are committed to the physical and mental health of our students and the vast majority of staff have first aid and mental health first aid training.
Here are just some of the measures that we have in place to promote and ensure mental and physical health of students:
“We start every day with physical exercise that gets your heart pumping and ready for the day. It helps to calm your mind and get you focused!”
– Luella, Year 2 Student
“I went to the LGBTQ+ Student Pastoral Takeover. It’s such a controlled and mature environment where some people come to share their experiences and some want to sit back and listen. It’s so nice knowing that everyone is supported.”
– Jamie, Year 2 Student
“If you have a problem, you feel comfortable speaking to any member of staff. Whether it’s about university applications, exam stress or something going on at home. You can also click the link on MyDay if you feel nervous asking for help.”
– Isla, Year 2 Student
