This year CAPA College have invited sell out audiences to 3 spectacular events. Over the winter and spring term we have had the pleasure to present 3 unique shows/events that showcased the skills and talents of students across all pathways at the college. We can’t wait for the summer show season, but for now here is a recap of some of the amazing performances that have taken place so far!
NEW WAVE
Kicking off the new year with a bang, our Dance Pathway students showcased six original works in the spectacular dance show NEW WAVE. The performances took the audience through an eclectic mix of jazz, contemporary and commercial dance styles. Created by CAPA College’s in-house dance artists and featuring a cast of strong, passionate and dynamic Year 1 dancers. This show was breath-taking!
Film & Theatre Fest 23
In February CAPA College hosted it’s first ever Film & Theatre festival. Audiences were taken on a journey through our theatre and new state of the art cinema and broadcasting studio to see works which consisted of seven contemporary creations on stage and screen: theatrical comedies, beautiful ensembles, live broadcasts, hard-hitting short films, and much more!
A Chorus Line
Jazz hands at the ready! Our first musical of the year, performed by year one Musical Theatre students and designed by Production Arts students in March. Sell out audiences were wowed with their rendition of the all singing, all dancing, smash hit musical A Chorus Line!
