National Theatre Connections: Home Performances
At the end of last term, both our Year 1 Drama Pathway and CHARGE Stage & Screen students took to the stage in our Box Theatre to present their home performances as part of National Theatre Connections.
As part of the festival, our Year 1 Drama students performed Cloud Busting, while CHARGE students staged Macbeth Macbeth Macbeth Macbeth Macbeth; two bold and contrasting new works commissioned especially for the Connections programme. Both groups delivered powerful, assured performances, showcasing exceptional talent, commitment and storytelling ability.
Year 1 Drama Students
National Theatre Connections is the UK’s leading youth theatre festival, led by the National Theatre. Each year, ten new plays are commissioned from contemporary writers and performed by schools and youth theatre groups nationwide. The programme gives young performers the opportunity to rehearse and stage professionally written work, receive expert feedback, and perform at a regional partner theatre festival, with the possibility of progressing to perform at the National Theatre in London.

Year 1 Drama Students
We were delighted to welcome representatives from the National Theatre and Cast Doncaster, who joined us to watch and support both performances.
Rehearsals are now continuing as students prepare for the Partner Theatre Festival at Cast in April, an exciting next step in what has already been a fantastic journey.
We are incredibly proud of all the students involved. ⭐👏
