We’re delighted to have received funding from the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund!

We’re delighted to have received £10,000 from the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund to support CHARGE Boys: Positive Pathways.

The programme will help male-identifying young people aged 11–18 across the Wakefield District access creative and physical activities in a safe, supportive environment.

Working with schools and community partners, we’ll provide more outreach workshops, development days and taster opportunities, creating a route into funded places within our established CHARGE Boys programme. Through regular participation, positive role models and supportive relationships, the project aims to build confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.

Our Principal and Head of Outreach attended the awards event to receive CAPA College’s cheque, joining organisations from across West Yorkshire working to make their communities safer and stronger.

Thank you to Mayor Tracy Brabin and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority for supporting this work and helping us open up opportunities for more young people.
