Our caring and dedicated pastoral support team are here to ensure you feel safe, supported and valued every day. We provide personalised support, working closely as a team to make sure you never face challenges alone. Whether you’re dealing with difficulties or just need someone to listen, we’re always ready to connect you with the right support when you need it most. By offering timely and positive interventions, we aim to help you build emotional strength, boost your confidence and develop resilience, empowering you to not only succeed at college but to grow into a confident, capable young adult with the skills to thrive in life.
At CAPA College, we are committed to protecting young people from abuse and ensuring that all teaching and support staff are fully aware of their responsibilities in identifying and reporting potential cases of abuse. Helping students to develop lifelong wellbeing habits.
121 support – bookable daily support appointments and pastoral request form
Working with external agencies
Emotional Coaching – more in-depth support in response to longer CAMHS waiting lists
My Day – external signposting
Student Reception Desk
Daily check-in with tutor group to ensure students feel safe and have a key staff member as their first point of contact
Mood Master group work
Individualised bespoke timetables and additional support is available for students with more complex needs
Multi-agency professional networking and support plans
Connect and Reflect – Weekly tutorial programme, ensuring the wider aspects of the national PHSE curriculum can be covered and accessible for students, providing opportunities for reflection. Including external speakers on specialist topics.
